Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 5:6-21.

Memory Verse: Deuteronomy 6:25.

1. What was God’s requirement for His people according to the foregoing Scriptures?
2. Were these laws given for our own good? Deuteronomy 6:24, Deuteronomy 10:12-13.
3. What are some of the benefits for obedience? Deuteronomy 5:31-33, Romans 15:4.
4. How faithfully are these laws to be taught to our children? Deuteronomy 6:1-2, Deuteronomy 6:7-8.
Note: Under the new covenant, God writes these laws in our minds and hearts. It becomes our new nature.
5. Should we be ashamed of God’s Commandments? Are they a burden or a delight to His people? Psalm 119:46-48, Psalm 119:127, Psalm 119:143, I John 5:3.
6. What laws are still in effect for the Church? John 14:15, John 14:21, John 14:31.
7. What must our daily actions display? Ephesians 5:1-2, Ephesians 5:8-9.
8. What will not be seen in our lives when we are obedient to God’s Laws? Ephesians 5:3-5.
9. What is the danger of deception by some spiritual leaders? Ephesians 5:6-7, Matthew 15:9, Mark 7:7-9.
10. Is there ever a time in a Christian’s life when he can become careless? When? Titus 2:1-8, Titus 2:12-13, Hebrews 3:12-14.
Note: Even though we are saved by God’s grace and our faith in Jesus Christ, we are created unto good works. We show our faith by our deeds. We must keep God’s Laws.
