Scripture Reading: I Corinthians 7:1-9.

Memory Verse: Proverbs 18:22.

1. What instructions did Abraham give to his servant when sending him to select a wife for his son? Genesis 24:14.
Note: In Bible times parents had a lot to do in selecting companions for their children. Young people that are wise will ask the advice and counsel of their parents and will seek to know the will of God before entering upon this important relationship.
2. How long does the marriage bind the contracting parties? Romans 7:2 & I Corinthians 7:39.
3. How does Christ recognize marriages of God’s children? Matthew 19:6.
4. By what command has God guarded the marriage tie or relationship? Exodus 20:14-17.
Note: Many marriages are lightly regarded and often made the subject of jest and with little idea of its responsibilities. Marriage should be holy, sacred, and never without the presence of God.
5. How will a sinner affect the saint of God when joined together? I Corinthians 6:16.
Note: It is impossible for a saint of God to remain in the spirit of God and disobey God.
6. What is our body and what dwells in us when we are His children and we do as we please? I Corinthians 6:19-20.
7. Does God approve of a minister joining a sinner and a saint together and will the sinner become a saint by marrying a saint? I Corinthians 6:15.
Note: The Church of God must come back to the Bible foundation. We cannot make God come our way. Let those that will not approve of God’s way depart and go their own way before they damage the Church and the Gospel of Christ.
8. How were the children of Israel warned through the mouth of Joshua against marrying unbelievers? Joshua 23:11-13.
9. What did the children of Israel include in the promise they made to God? Nehemiah 10:30.
10. Were Isaac and Rebekah pleased with Esau’s marriage to strange women? Genesis 26:34-35.
11. Can there be perfect peace and agreement in the home where a Christian is married to a sinner? Amos 3:3.
