Preview: Obedience to God’s Commandments is the test of our true faith in Him. This lesson will cover the great gifts our obedience will bring, and the grave consequences of disobedience.


Scripture Reading: Leviticus 26:1-20.

Memory Verse: I Samuel 15:22.

1. Is just hearing and believing God’s Word enough? Why not? James 1:22-25, Ephesians 2:8-10.
2. What is involved in our obedience? I John 2:6, John 10:27-28, Luke 6:46.
3. What example did Jesus leave us regarding obedience? Philippians 2:5-8, Hebrews 5:8.
4. Did Jesus always find it easy to do His Father’s will? Discuss. Matthew 26:36-42.
5. Why is it not always easy for God’s children to obey? John 15:18-20, Acts 4:18-19, Acts 5:40-41, Genesis 22:1-13.
6. What promises are given to those who obey? Leviticus 26:3-13, Isaiah 1:19.
7. What will happen to those who refuse to obey? Isaiah 1:20, Colossians 3:5-6.
8. Do you believe that Naaman would have been healed of his leprosy if he had dipped in his native rivers instead of the Jordan River? Discuss. II Kings 5:8-14.
9. What did Samuel have to say regarding the value of obedience? I Samuel 15:22-23.
10. When our children disobey we punish them. How does God deal with us? Hebrews 12:5-11.
