Scripture Reading: Colossians 3:1-16.
Memory Verse: Colossians 3:17.
1. Discuss the instructions given to the Church in the foregoing Scripture Reading, Colossians 3:1-16. What key is found in the Memory Verse? Colossians 3:17.
2. What else is necessary for Kingdom membership? I Thessalonians 5:14-22.
3. How is this accomplished in us? I Thessalonians 5:23-24.
4. Does God command His people to be holy? I Thessalonians 4:1-7.
5. How does it affect our relationship with the following people:
A. Government officials? I Timothy 2:1-2.
B. Employee toward employer? I Timothy 6:1-2 & Titus 2:9-10.
C. Employer toward employee? Colossians 4:1-2.
D. How will husbands and wives regard each other? Genesis 2:23-24, Colossians 3:18-19, & Ephesians 5:22-23 & Ephesians 5:25.
E. What will the attitude be toward those who do not know God? II Thessalonians 3:14-15.
F. How will we react to our enemies? Luke 6:27-35.
G. How will we treat the poor? Isaiah 58:5-12.
6. What else is required of God’s children? Isaiah 58:13-14.
7. Will all of God’s children suffer persecution? II Timothy 3:10-14.
8. What is promised to those who remain faithful to the end? I Timothy 4:6-8, Matthew 10:22 & Matthew 24:12-14.
9. Will God excuse those who are unprepared to meet Him? Romans 1:18-20.
Note: Christ is preparing a place for a prepared people. The choice is ours. Can you say “…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”? (Joshua 24:15.)
