1. Consider the warning found in the Scripture Reading and Memory Verse and discuss the seriousness of excuses.
2. What happens to our relationship with God when we take our eyes off the goal of our high calling in Christ Jesus? Matthew 24:36-39, Matthew 24:44 & Matthew 24:51.
3. What does doubt and unbelief do to our relationship with God? Hebrews 3:12-19.
Note: As surely as Israel cut themselves off from God for lack of faith, we will also miss His Kingdom if we are guilty of disbelief.
4. Is it possible to have eternal life without accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior? John 20:29-31.
5. How powerful is genuine faith in Him? Mark 11:23-24.
6. How does Satan use bitterness and lack of forgiveness to separate us from God? Mark 11:25-26.
7. Should we look for God’s will in our suffering even when Satan afflicts us? II Corinthians 12:7-16.
8. What did God accomplish through Job’s affliction? Job 42:1-6.
9. What did God do for Job after he repented of his pride in his own righteousness? Job 42:11-17.
10. What is promised to the righteous concerning troubles and afflictions? Psalm 34:17-19 & Psalm 34:22.
11. What is the only way we can stand against the wiles of the Devil? Ephesians 6:10-18.
Note: In the last three lessons we have looked at some of the tricks Satan uses to separate us from the love of God. They include: deception, discouragement, fear, doubt, carelessness, lack of faithfulness, excuses, and cares of this life. When we are truly in Christ, and Christ is in us, nothing can separate us from His love. Romans 8:38-39.
