Preview: Many things will take place before the Lord returns for the Judgment. The Lord’s children will recognize these signs and will not be surprised at His return. This is the first part of a two-part lesson on this subject.
Scripture Reading: Joel 3:5-13.
Memory Verse: Daniel 12:4.
1. How did Daniel describe the time of the end and its relationship to an increase of knowledge? Daniel 12:4.
2. Is it possible for the wicked and unconverted to understand these signs of the approaching end? Why not? Daniel 12:10.
3. What does the Prophet Nahum describe as being seen in the streets and broadways? Nahum 2:3-4.
Note: The Lord has never sent destruction without first sending a messenger, and giving them warning. As the Lord prepares the world for the second advent of Jesus an alarm must be sounded. Jesus has given us signs that we may know where we are in the stream of time.
4. What will the nations be doing just prior to the coming of Christ? Joel 3:9-10.
5. What is said concerning those who are rich in the last days? James 5:3.
6. Why will riches be a hindrance to our entering the Kingdom of God? James 5:1.
7. What will be the attitude of the rich toward the poor in the last days? James 5:4-6.
8. What special admonition is given to the people of God at that time? James 5:7.
9. Should these conditions discourage or establish the remnant Church? James 5:8.
10. What will be raging in the streets just before the Lord comes? Nahum 2:3-4.
11. What will the Lord be doing when this takes place? Nahum 2:5.
Note: The Lord is recounting His worthies. To recount we have to count them at least once before.
