Preview: This lesson helps to provide a greater understanding of the battle between Christ and the Devil as well as to clarify and define some prophetic Biblical terms.

1. Is the woman used as a symbol of the Church? Revelation 12:1, Jeremiah 6:2, Isaiah 54:5-6 & II Corinthians 11:2.
2. Is the sun a symbol of righteousness? Malachi 4:2, Psalm 84:11 & Matthew 13:43.
3. Was Christ spoken of here? Revelation 12:5 & Revelation 19:15-16.
4. When was the Devil spoken of? Revelation 12:3-4 & Revelation 12:9.
Note: The woman is used as a symbol of the Church of Christ. The Church is called Christ’s “body,” and He can have only one body. The sun might well be a symbol of the “Sun of righteousness.” The moon is used in the Scriptures as a symbol of permanency, and the Church of all ages stands as the permanent foundation of Christ, the Rock of Ages. The twelve stars are a symbol of the twelve divisions of the Church (the twelve tribes of Israel).
5. How do we prove the Church has twelve divisions? Matthew 19:27-28, James 1:1 & Revelation 7:4-8.
6. Why did the Devil leave Heaven? Revelation 12:7-9.
7. What did John hear in the loud voice? Revelation 12:10-12.
