The Lion of Judah, the Root of David

Preview: Christ is the Lion of Judah and the Root of David.

1. What is the angel’s message to the Churches? Revelation 22:16. 
2. What is Christ further compared to be? Revelation 5:5. 
3. What was Christ’s purpose? I John 3:8. 
4. How did Christ denounce Church leaders in His ministry work? What did He call them? Matthew 23:15 & Matthew 23:33. 
Note: How can anyone read those Scriptures and still say that Christ never said anything against false teachers in His day? 
5. How did Christ meet the accusation of the Jews? John 8:41 & John 8:44. 
6. Why couldn’t the Jews agree with Christ? John 8:47. 
7. How did the Jews answer Christ? John 8:48. 
8. Did the Jews claim to be the children of Abraham? How did Christ respond? John 8:39. 
Note: Christ made it plain that their father was the Devil. Christ was not afraid to come down on the Jews, or anyone, that would not accept the truth. 
9. How did some interfere with Christ? Mark 3:20.

11. What advantage did the scribes take of His friends’ doings? Mark 3:22.

Note: Christ spoke with a loud voice so that men who were standing afar off might hear and receive. It is necessary to cry aloud to stir those that are in deep sin. 
17. How should a minister speak to those that are in sin? Isaiah 58:1. 
18. How will it affect the ministers if they do not warn the sinners? Ezekiel 3:19. 
19. How will it benefit the pastor if a minister warns against the wicked? Ezekiel 3:21. 
20. How many had Jesus fed, besides women and children? Matthew 14:21. 
21. How many loaves and fishes did they have to feed the multitude? Matthew 14:17.
Note: We can imagine how many Jesus was speaking to, with men, women and children, there must have been more than ten thousand. Christ must have had a loud voice, as He spoke with words of understanding and the people heard Him. He did not have the loudspeakers we have today. 
22. Were all these people filled with food? How much food remained? Matthew 14:20. 
Note: Christ is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and the Root of David. If Christ’s voice can be compared to the growl of a lion, we know for sure He had no need of a loudspeaker. Even His enemies feared Him. They never heard any man speak as He did.
