Preview: The life of a Christian must be an example to those around them. We must live our lives soberly, with a thought to God’s wishes at all times.

Scripture Reading: Titus 2:1-10.

Memory Verse: Romans 12:3.

1. How did Solomon test the pleasures of the world? Ecclesiastes 2:1.
2. What did Solomon allow his eyes to see? Ecclesiastes 2:10.
3. What did Solomon find when he looked upon his works and labor? Ecclesiastes 2:11.
4. How did Solomon instruct the young men in his day? Ecclesiastes 11:9.
5. What does the grace of God teach us about the way we should live? Titus 2:11-12.
6. What classes of individuals are admonished to be sober? Titus 2:2-6.
Note: There are four classes included: men, women, boys, and girls. There is no room for slackers. Sober means temperate, and temperate means moderation in all things or self-control.
7. What similar advice did Paul give to the Romans? Romans 13:13.
8. What does the Apostle Peter advise on this point? I Peter 1:15.
9. What should we avoid and why? Ephesians 5:4.

Note: We must be sober and continually on guard to avoid sin. To be sober is to have control at all times.
11. Why are sobriety and vigilance so necessary? I Peter 5:8.
12. What other prophetic condition should lead us to be sober and watchful? I Peter 4:7.
Note: A Christian is looked upon to be different to the world. Life with all its responsibilities is too serious a matter to be spent in a way of vanities.
