Preview: We will hear many things in the last days that may sound true, but we must always weigh what we hear and learn from others against the truth of God’s Word to ensure that it is the actual will of God.


Scripture Reading: I Timothy 3:1-16.

1. Why is sound doctrine needed in the last days? II Timothy 3:1-5.
2. What was made for those who live contrary to sound doctrine? I Timothy 1:9-10.

Note: Those who are unwilling to accept the plain cutting truth of the Bible are constantly seeking for pleasing fables to relieve their conscience. Many are too wise in their own conceit to accept and understand the Scriptures.
4. Should we learn the truth and doctrine of the Bible? Isaiah 28:9-10.
5. What must one be willing to do before he or she can know the doctrine of Christ? John 7:17.
6. Are we warned against those who oppose sound doctrine? Romans 16:17.
7. Are we warned against misusing the Scriptures? II Peter 3:16.
8. By what is our Christianity tested? II John 1:9.
9. What final doctrine will all be judged by? Isaiah 8:20.
Note: We should test the doctrine we believe by the Law of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ. There is no light in any doctrine that fails to meet this test.
