Scripture Reading: Psalm 1:1-6.

Memory Verse: Proverbs 15:3.

1. What efforts did Zacchaeus put forth to see Jesus? Luke 19:1-4.
2. How did Jesus respond to the efforts of Zacchaeus? Luke 19:5.
3. Was Zacchaeus happy to have Jesus for his guest? Luke 19:6.
4. What special blessing did Jesus give to Zacchaeus? Luke 19:9-10.
Note: Zacchaeus was too short to see Jesus in the crowd. He climbed a tall tree because he was determined to see the Master. Jesus saw his effort and rewarded him accordingly. The example should teach us to put forth more effort than the crowd, because God requires more than the crowd is willing to give.
5. What happened when the afflicted woman touched Jesus? Luke 8:43-44.
6. Did Jesus realize that He had received a special touch different from the push and press of the crowd around Him? What did His disciples ask? Luke 8:45-46.
7. How did the woman reveal who she was and why she had touched Him? Luke 8:47.
8. How did Jesus respond to her efforts? Luke 8:48.
Note: The example of the afflicted woman teaches us that Jesus is moved with great compassion when we put forth our utmost efforts to touch Him. He has little regard for the careless bumps of the crowd.
9. What was the eunuch doing when Philip saw him? Acts 8:26-28.
10. What did Philip do to help him understand what he read? Acts 8:29-35.
11. How was the eunuch rewarded for searching the Scriptures? Acts 8:36-39.
